Family friendly pub, with large decking area at rear and free parking to patrons. Locally produced ingredients are used as much as possible in the food. Varied menu including sunday roasts with extensive specials board. Most adult meals can be served as a child's portion at request. Unfortunately no play area at the moment. **** MC

FOLLY INNfolly

Whippingham, East Cowes

Food served: all day

This pub has amazing views along the Medina. It is reached by a long road in a poor state of repair - or you can get the harbour taxi from Cowes. Known for yachties dancing on the tables on a saturday night this should not put you off. The food and service are excellent quality (if a little expensive with £9-12 for a main course and £6 for a large children's meal) and there are plenty of highchairs to go round. Booking advisable and often essential at busy times. Lots of outdoor eating space but no playarea. **** VL
